POD DEVICES

The list of devices i have tested since starting my channel is almost at 400 different devices! Who knew there were that many? I break each one down and judge each one against 10 categories, giving them a score out of 10 for each category. When added together, these are the top ten highest scoring devices so far!

1

Geekvape Sonder Q2

Simple, easy to use device with no complicated difficulties. This device is my go-to device for testing different juices for its smooth and consistent flavour, reliability and usability. Pods are easy to refill and replace, and are widely available across the UK. This is also the device used by many juice brands to demo their flavours at expos and conventions.

2

Geekvape WENAX Q ULTRA

The upgraded version of the Sonder Q2. Customisable themes, outputs, haptic feedback, motion effects, and a large touchscreen. It uses the same pods as the Sonder, and is improved in a fairly major way over the Sonder. But if its improved, why does it not beat the Sonder? It's simple - the improvements and upgrades come at a cost. And that cost is poor battery performance when directly compared to the Sonder.

HAYATI QUOKKA ELITE

The Quokka family from Hayati features the entry level Lite, the mid range Elite, and the premium Pro devices - but wait, why does the mid range one win? Easy. It has a larger battery than the Lite, but the exact same battery as the Pro - but it is missing the large touchscreen of the pro, meaning it has less pulling power from the battery. It has built in AI, which resets every time you remove or replace the pod. This AI takes the first 7-8 puffs to actually learn your personal vaping style, and then it automatically adjusts itself to deliver the best vaping experience possible. The pods are widely available online, but may be difficult to find in shops.

hayati quokka lite

The Quokka family from Hayati features the entry level Lite, the mid range Elite, and the premium Pro devices. It has built in AI, which resets every time you remove or replace the pod. This AI takes the first 7-8 puffs to actually learn your personal vaping style, and then it automatically adjusts itself to deliver the best vaping experience possible. The pods are widely available online, but may be difficult to find in shops. It has a smaller battery than the Elite, which is why the Elite beats this one.

5

pava allo horiz ultra

Pava Allo's cornerstone "smart" vape. It is essentially a smart watch built into a vape. I actually found use of it, being able to control my phone (read texts, camera controls, music controls etc), and for a while I found it useful. However the novelty did quickly wear off, and I used its features less and less until it became basically a fancy vape. That being said, it vapes smoothly, delivers consistant flavour, and for a more tech minded person, this device is perfect for those who can take full advantage.

aspire pixo aura

Whilst the device I used was a pre-release sample, and I haven't managed to find the released version in the wild, I was impressed but the device. The pattern on the body does obscure certain things such as battery level, it does deliver a smooth, consistent vape and flavour, with a reasonable battery life.

7

hayati quokka pro

The Quokka family from Hayati features the entry level Lite, the mid range Elite, and the premium Pro devices. So why does the Pro device fall so far below the Lite and Elite? Because it features the exact same battery as the Elite, but also features a large fully animated colour touchscreen, RGB lighting strips, and haptic feedback - which, whilst providing features that are great, they also deliver a huge drain on the battery which dramatically reduces its usage time. It also features the same AI as in the Elite. The pods are widely available online, but may be difficult to find in shops.

8

pava allo horiz pro

The 'Little Brother' of the Horiz Ultra, the Horiz Pro features many of the same features as the Horiz Ultra in a slimline package. It features a smaller battery and is missing a couple of the features the Ultra has, but it is still an amazing device for tech minded people.

9

upends nex

A simple, no frills pod device, that is easy to use after a small learning curve. It delivers a consistent flavour and delivery. I did enjoy using the device, and would probably be using it more if the replacement pods were easier to find.

10

geekvape digi max

Geek Vape's Digi Max is the flagship pod device from Geek Vape, featuring a large touchscreen and delivering smooth, consistent flavour. The pods are widely available, and you can get all in one pods or ones where you can replace the coil itself. A unique design is having the airflow intake built into the pod, but the airflow control is very finicky and the magnets holding it in place are not very strong, which is the reason this device isn't higher on the list.
